What Kind of Parent
Do You Want to Be?
Parenting is a journey...
It’s not about perfection — it’s about presence, intention, and growth through reflection.
Parent Coaching is a collaborative, strength-based process designed to empower parents with the tools, insight, and confidence needed to nurture deeper connections with their children and create more peaceful and joyful home environments.
Without conscious and ongoing effort, our parenting patterns — often inherited or automatic — can unintentionally create tension instead of connection.
Many of us were raised in authoritarian households where control was prioritized over communication. While often rooted in love and good intentions, this approach can lead to disconnection, frustration, and power struggles — leaving parents and children feeling unheard, misunderstood, and distant.
You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
As your parent coach, I will walk alongside you — grounded in the pillars of Trust, Harmony, and Healing — to help you create new, empowered pathways for parenting.
Together, we will shift patterns and strengthen relationships by integrating child development principles and modern brain science, so your family can cultivate a home rooted in connection and compassion.
Healing
Heal the wounds you experienced as a child, so your children don’t have to.
Trust
Create a relationship with your children based on trust, connection and collaboration.
Harmony
Experience peace, harmony and mutual understanding with your children.
Are you feeling called to take a new path in your parenting journey?
Do you sense it’s time for a new approach — one rooted in connection and growth?
No matter what your current relationship with your child looks like, there is always hope.
When challenges feel overwhelming, it can be hard to envision a different way forward — but positive change is possible.
None of us are perfect. We all start with good intentions and heartfelt plans, only to have those ideals tested by the stress and complexity of everyday life.
But with patience, intention, and the right support, meaningful growth and healing can happen — at any stage, and in any family.
Is it time to rewrite your parenting story?
"We thought we just needed some guidance navigating toddlerhood, but Amanda helped us see so much more. She had this incredible ability to notice things we couldn't see ourselves – like how our own childhood experiences were influencing our reactions, or subtle dynamics in how we were supporting each other as new parents. Those moments when she'd help us connect the dots were amazing. She helped us understand and empathize with our daughter's world while also reflecting on our own growth as individuals and as a couple. Amanda didn't just give us parenting strategies – she helped us become more intentional and confident parents who could grow together with our daughter."

Hi! I’m Amanda Jewart
I became a Parent Coach because I believe every child—and every family—deserves the chance to live a joyful, connected life. Throughout my career, two threads have defined my journey: my work as an early childhood educator and my experience coaching in youth gymnastics. Together, these roles have given me a powerful perspective on parenting as a relationship that not only nurtures growth, but also shapes a child’s sense of self and belonging.
With a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a deep commitment to leadership, I’ve spent 23 years working side by side with children and families. My work has spanned classrooms, teacher training, curriculum development, and, notably, youth sports coaching at our family-owned gymnastics school in Wilsonville, OR.
My time as a gymnastics coach taught me to see each child as uniquely capable—helping them overcome fears, celebrate small victories, and build resilience through encouragement and structure. Coaching is about meeting children where they are, nurturing trust, and fostering a growth mindset—lessons that transfer directly to supporting parents as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising their own children.
Meanwhile, my career as an early childhood educator—primarily at Siemens Child Development Center (formerly Mentor Graphics CDC)—instilled in me the importance of high-quality, developmentally-informed support for both children and their caregivers. I’ve had the privilege of designing environments where families and teachers grow together, developing skills that create lasting foundations for children’s emotional and social health.
My passion for outdoor and play-based learning has woven these experiences together. Through both teaching and coaching, I have witnessed firsthand how unstructured, joyful play fosters deeper family connections and provides children the space to express themselves authentically.
As your Parent Coach, I draw deeply from my practical experience in both teaching and coaching. I understand the strength of encouragement, the power of positive connection, and the importance of creating a safe, supportive space for growth—for parents and children alike. Whether helping a gymnast try a new skill or guiding a parent through a difficult moment, my approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and a belief in our capacity to grow.
Parenthood is a beautiful, complex journey—one that doesn’t come with instructions. I’m here to help you not just manage challenges, but truly connect with your child, building relationships founded on trust, intention, and respect.
At Re-Root, we’ll work together to grow a family life where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I believe that when parents grow, children flourish—and the confidence, resilience, and joy that follow can last a lifetime.
Parenting isn’t about power. It’s about connection.
If the old “power-over” model of parenting isn’t working for you, you’re not alone — and you’re not failing. So many of us were never taught how to parent in a way that truly aligns with our values.
Instead, we fall back on the patterns we experienced growing up — even when they are not serving us or our child.
Here’s the truth: it’s not your fault.
When you reach out, you’ll be met with compassion, understanding, and judgement free space will be reserved just for you. Together, we will co-create a supportive, personalized plan rooted in empathy, respect, and your unique family dynamic. And I’ll be right there with you, every step of the way.
How It Works:
When you book a call with me, I will spend time listening to your stories and hopes. I’ll take the time to understand what’s happening for you and your family, and where you might need support.
I’ll walk you through my approach and the different ways we can work together. You’re welcome to ask any questions so you can get a clear sense of what type of support would best suit your needs, lifestyle, and schedule.
If it feels like a good fit, we can go ahead and book your first session. If not, that’s completely okay—there’s no pressure. I’ll do my best to offer alternative resources or point you in the right direction for support. This call is simply a chance to explore whether we’re the right match to work together.
Let's Talk!
So many parents carry the weight of guilt and self-doubt — feeling like they’re not doing enough, or fearing they’ve already messed things up.
But here’s the truth: the fact that you're reflecting, questioning, and wanting to do better means you’re on the right path.
Are you curious about what it would feel like to parent with more ease and intention?
We can take that first step together and begin by engaging in an authentic and honest conversation — and I will meet you exactly where you are.
